Who We Are
Michael Raso, Owner - Michael is a professional cinematographer, editor and producer who conceived and initiated FILMmedia in 2016 to preserve, restore and raise awareness of outstanding independent cinema shot on motion picture film. A life-long photographer, Michael is founder of the Film Photography Project, “the” resource for film shooters world-wide that places refurbished cameras in the hands of students and encourages self-determination through the arts.

Dave Northrop, Colorist and Post Production Supervisor - Dave is a digital colorist with three decade’s experience in traditional post production through contemporary digital workflows, with expertise in archive film organization and scanning to final mastering. Supervision, color grading and remastered footage and archival collections clients include Studio One (The John Lennon / Yoko Ono film archive), Getty Images, National Geographic, NBC, MGM, Sony Pictures and the Criterion Collection.
